Back to the Fokkers 1916

 WW1 Air 1916

Briefing by Major "By the Book" Scharmer, Squadron Commander

What ho fellows?  Settle down there.

The Brass have decided that we need to get some crates over sausage side and give the bally old Hun' balloons a damned good spanking.  Don't need to overthink this what!  Up at dawn as per usual and a scrap with the Fokkers as per usual.

Up it is then. The Hun will expect us at 6am sharp and we don't want to surprise them or anything.  Not cricket what?
Carry on...

The Game

Team RFC.  Climbing.

And the Fokker Scourge, supported by a Roland two seater.

The RFC spread into their climb, as if they have a plan!

And the Germans spread into a line.

The RFC cross the line, two move for the isolated Roland.

And Weasley stays with the FE2B, although he's climbed higher.

The Roland is in trouble.

Ripper gets on the Roland's tail.  The Fokkers mob the FE2B.

Lt. Kimi Badenôck goes down in the Roland as Ripper Reeves zooms past with the DH2 Lewis gun

And a 5.2 earthquake intervenes.  Game paused while I wait outside!  The FE2B is shaken off it's stand.

Resuming, he's dropped a level and the Gunner shoots up the balloon.

Major S gets a pretty lucky shot in.  The useful arc of fire from a pusher does it's work.

A temporary halt as an earthquake hits, one of the hazards of living in Cyprus! The only casualty is my FE2B off its stand.

Play resumes, we bag another Fokker!

And the balloon goes down.

I wait outside whilst the aftershocks come.

And once again it's that over heavy FE2B off its stand.

Good game, the Filler scourge of 1916 is finely balanced!
