LANDSCAPE:

THE DOCKS
  • Benefits: Plenty of cover from warehouses, stacks of goods being offloaded, cranes, ships, slips and wagons (both horse and steam).
  • Hazards: Collateral damage rule applies (9.2.3). May quickly attract the attention of the Authorities (9.2.5). Lots of moving goods vehicles (4.1.5).
  • Suggested Terrain: The river or seafront down one table edge and then fill the rest of the board with buildings, vehicles, people, goods etc. Docks tend to be less organised than streets so you can be more random in the placement of features.

SCENARIO COMPLICATION

9.2.2 PEA SOUP A dense fog has descended over the battlefield. At the beginning of each turn, roll 2d10. The sum of the two dice scores is the visibility distance in inches for the rest of the turn. You may not fire at any figure beyond that distance. If you roll a double 1 or a double 10 the fog lifts.

A Spring Heeled martial arts expert attacks the Shadow.

A fight between the Tongs and the Shadow's men.  Both sides lose figures.

Dr Parker and Lord Farthingdale hide behind a wall, and fire their revolvers at the Tong Tiger men.

Finally the Authorities arrive, Inspector Abeline and his Peelers

Plot point five for the Explorers, is that a Sarcophagus in that crate...?

Covered by a Jingal gun the Red Tongs flee the scene, back to their waiting ship.
A win for the Explorers!

  2. The "Great Sage?". You mean Burt don't you? I will totally adopt the name Dim Sum, as Chou En Ginsberg's number one dim son.
