Building HMS Espeigle, 1914

The Farthingdale shipyards opened recently, with three gunboats being constructed.  Two were versions of WW1 "China" gunboats, one of these being an updated Fly class.  The last being HMS Espeigle, one of the last Victorian style gun sloops, with shallow enough draught to operate on the Tigris.

I based the first build on "Sultan" but that bridge is wrong.  No matter, I liked the rest of the boat.

Painted with a dive frame.  That bridge still annoys me.

A side on shot.  In the foreground is HMS Bristol in 1/2400 scale.  I have a pair of these magnificent Bristols

An updated version behind.  Much better upper works.

And Espiegle, well into the build.
