Just outside the Joiners Arms; Chester Le Street, Bad Bobby Bewes has gathered his gang. The plot has something to do with the prize in a pigeon fancying competition, but as ever the Lads are unclear.
A witness has reported seeing the Post Office van blocked by a lorry and surrounded by criminals. The set up dice tell me that Thirsty Gazza, meant to be driving the lorry, has vanished into the pub!
How lad. Git oot if ya van! |
Constables Cribbins and Hawtrey, the Constabulary's crack team, respond. Hawtrey has Police dog Flash with him so at least one member of the team is competent. Cribbins draws his whistle and attempts to summon assistance. |
Mad Cheryl appears and puts the boot into the driver, who had already surrendered. |
And a plot point draw has Miss Agatha Marbles appear, just having left her port and lemon in the Fighting Cocks. |
Police dog Flash bounds over-the-counter stationary lorry and grabs Terry by the vitals. Flash is classed as "soft as clarts" but Terry would disagree at this point. |
And Terry can't budge the dog. Looks like more work for Doctor Crappin. |
Agatha shouts a challenge and draws her hat pin. |
And Terry goes down unable to respond to the Police dog. Terry seems out of the fight! |
That has to smart! |
Special Constable Ron Corbett and Probationary Constable Les Phillips charge down main street, reacting to Cribbins frantic whistle. |
Crazy Cheryl puts the driver down and jumps into the driving seat of the van shouting his trademark "Smash yer face in!" |
Ron Corbett dashes up behind Hawtrey. Fast mover that boy! Make a fine Officer when he grows up a bit. |
But Phillips is distracted. A female lady woman within 8". He shouts his trademark "Ding-dong" and accosts Miss Marbles. |
PC Cribbins meanwhile... observes; gathering evidence...not cowardly at all! |
I can explain! |
Really? |
Miss Marbles uses her hat pin on PC Phillips. |
He loses two action dice and runs away in some distress. |
PC Hawtrey gets behind Terry and leathers him with his Truncheon. The Police dog still has Terry gripped. |
Probationary PC Corbett vaults onto the lorry and smacks Terry unconscious. Fit fellow that youngster. |
Bob meanwhile joins Cheryl in the van and they race off at speed. |
Terry is nicked. |
And the chilling sight of Thelma Bewes, as she appears opposite the Burn and shouts for Bob. His tea is ready. Anyone seen Bob? |
"I said... HAS ANYONE SEEN OUR BOB?" |
Next time. Terry breaks out of Durham Prison. The Likely Lads go after the Jewelers van, and PC Phillips fails his probation, again...

Just helping you out of the bath madam...Ding dong! |
In the Next game Evil Criminal Mastermind Professor Lewis Whately shows his hand, and the Constabulary must call in Consulting Detective and Vicar, the Rev Robson Green. |
