The Red Duke pushes the Blue Cavalry back |
Someone was mentioning Maurice at the club t'other night, we must have some more games. How do you solo it vis-a-vis the cards? Do you give certain classes of cards priority? Love what you've done with the campaign map btw.
ReplyDeleteAs an Igo-Ugo game I find Maurice quite easy to solo. The game is usually one of lines and flanks of lines rather than the spread about of Napoleonics. I also "played one side," red here, and used a blind draw for Blue in the game, so the cards that Blue held in one turn they may not hold next turn. (I rolled a d6 and swapped the resulting number of cards back into the deck) Even so Blue won a phyrric victory in the Infantry line only to find that the red cavalry were supreme.
ReplyDeleteBlue used a first fire card, stealing red's volley and effectively this game them the advantage. As long as the cards indicate a specific action is preferred I go with that.
I still have a lot of Jacobites to paint for my "Exiled Prince's" army.
