Buying big

One of the Toofatlardies projects that really resonated with me was Clarkie's Seven Years War Sharp Practice set up.  So much so that I now find myself spending money, an uncomfortable circumstance.  I've been slowly adding to my current figures to build up the initial forces.  For my current armies I have a mix of Crusader Miniatures, Warlord Games and Front Rank.  The big buy however is Wargames Foundry 

My aims in adding to my forces are to:

More Civilians for Dawns and Departures SP2 campaigns

Add a "Giant Grenadier" unit

A Mounted Dragoon unit

Replace my wargames factory plastic Jäeger with some metal Frei Korps.

Generally building up my support options.

4 groups of Grenadiers

1 group of Irregular riflemen

1 group Hussars

2 light guns with well trained crew

The Grand Duchy focus on prestige Guard Grenadiers and rely on Militia and irregulars rather than regular musketeers.

The Principality of Das Röt
1 group of Grenadiers
3 groups of well trained Regular Musketeers

1 group Regular skirmishers
2 groups of Frei Korps - Skirmish capable 
1 group of Dragoons

1 field gun with crew

The Red focus on their regular Line forces. They have few Grenadiers, and those they have work in the same units as the regulars.

The "civilian forces" on the map will be

Two groups of aristocrats heading for a duel

A merchant and his guards

A naval press gang

A group of Smugglers working for the enigmatic Dr Syn

Recruiting parties for the army and most especially for the "Giant Grenadiers" since the Grand Duchy kidnaps tall men to serve in the Guard.

The farmers market, get those carrots sold.

The Countess of Nennwieler and her guards 

The notorious Highwayman Captain Quilp and his gang

The Dragoons of Major Pyles out to arrest a fugitive.

Actually I think a multi player game of SP2 with players using two "civilian" factions each would work really well.
