I absolutely haunt eBay waiting for Minifigs 25mm Zulu War figures. They are expensive these days, but I'm in too deep to go plastic. In any event they have "character" that I really like.
I recently added recruits to my Zulu Warbands and the Queen's Own.

| Nine foot figures and a mounted lancer for the Redcoats. Eleven more figures for my Zulu. I added a couple of tiny Hinton Hunt to go with them. I don't mind the fact that most of the Zulu are musket armed. That agrees with my reading. |
