Scenario two: Randi and the Fort at Pornomalee

Scenario Two: Randi and the Fort at Pornomalee
Reinforced by two further platoons after the ambush at Badass Village Ensign "Gloria" Beaumont marched on towards the Fort at Pornomalee.  This size of force should merit a lieutenant, but the 2nd Madras is short on Britisher officers.   That is how "Gloria" got his job in the first place.
The Ensign halted his force before they entered the village.  Mr Gloria is a man who loves soldiering, especially drummer boys.  Scandalous rumour says he dresses in a sari when off duty.  The 2nd Madras lined up ready to receive a charge, but thought that their Officer must be sun touched.
This was however another ambush.  Soon the cries of "Din, Din" could be heard, and the Sepoys saw the glint of sunlight on poorly improvised weapons.
Tante Tooh, one of the Bhuna's own men had hidden in the tiny village beside the fort.  When he saw that the British would not be marching blindly into another ambush he came out in a furious charge, chasing a sacred goat (the Bhuna's men are a funny lot - especially when it comes to goats) This would give heart to his Badmashes and wallahs followers.
A battle of lines was about to occur.  A game in which the disciplined fire of the 2nd Madras would surely prevail.

Anglo Indian Briefing
You have not been drawn into the trap within the village.  Unfortunately the place can now be seen to be crawling with the enemy, and they appear to want to come out and get you.
The Havildar Haidar Sikh gives his advice, "shall we form our lines Sahib Beaumont?  The cannon too perhaps? We are badly outnumbered, and that looks like one angry goat!"
Characters
Ensign "Gloria" Beaumont has grown in confidence.  He remains a level II big man, but he will now use his Havildar and Naiks to help him command in the action.  Gloria has also discovered that he is a slasher in action.  He now commands three platoons of ten sepoys each, as well as the gun and bullock carts.
Havildar, Haidar Sikh, Level 2 Big Man is the real commander of the platoon.  He is a resolute man, of steely eye and lacking any sense of humour whatsoever.  He is a born soldier, the one that the Sepoys look to.  He is a man with a huge and impressive moustache, in a battalion where the size of one`s moustache is a matter of honour.
Haidar Sihk pictured beside a bullock cart on the advance from Fort George.
Lance Naik, Jaymin Gost still commands the gun crew of five sepoys, five drivers and four bullocks, with an additional bullock cart for ammunition.  He too has grown in confidence.   A level 1 Big man 'Jay' has a real talent for artillery duty.  He still spends a suspicious amount of time polishing 'Jamilla the Killer,' his 6pdr gun, and has taken to sleeping with her at night.
Randi Ram, a sepoy in the 2nd Madras, is in the second platoon. He is not a Big man, but has an extraordinary gift for survival.  Even if the platoon is wiped out Randi will somehow, comically, make his way home.
Native Briefing
The ambush has failed.  The British are forming into their lines outside the village.  They can see our men gathering to attack.  We must drive them back. Win back India for her own peoples, not these thieving interlopers.
The emblem of the Bhuna is a sacred Goat.  The animal has been brought here from the hidden temple and will be chased into the British Line as a symbolic act that will give your men courage.  The Goat represents the victim, and you the avengers of the innocent.  It is a metaphor for cleansing India of the hated ferenghi.
"Din, Din!"
Native Characters
The Bhuna of Dahl is the local Nabob. He rides Buttercup, his favourite camel, and he dresses as the Sudanese Mahdist Khalifa.  He gives orders in a nasal Kenneth Williams voice.  The Bhuna is a Lvl III big man.  He fights for the freedom of india, and so that he can tell the Typhoo Sultan, his neighbour to the west that he has captured a Britisher cannon.   For this battle he controls two mobs of twelve badmashes.
The Bandit chief Tante Tooh  is an old enemy of the 2nd Madras.  Like his master, the Bhuna he is a follower of the "Sacred Goat," an odd cult local on the south-western border of Madras.  He is a level 2 Big man.  For this battle he has two mobs of twelve Badmashes.
The Little Bhuna, son of the local Nabob is a huge dissapointment to anyone who meets him.  There remains much competition from his thirteen brothers for the rank of Little Bhuna, and the 2nd Madras have to this date killed five previous Little Bhunas.  He is a Level 1 Big man commanding only a single group of Wallahs, but these are the jezail armed Dirty Fekkar Brothers, local bandits who are crack shots.  Like the Bhuna however they are distinctly cowardly  nature and run away if an enemy closes within 4 inches..
Terrain

Umpire Notes
The fort is set on a raised earth platform allowing it to dominate the area.  The Village is quite small, but has a Temple and a traders store, Nookie Noor`s Emporium."  Nookie keeps his valuable carpets on the roof so it is immediately identifiable on the map.  He employs two large ex wrestlers, Max and Paddy, as his bodyguards.  Nookie sells information and is a valuable contact.
The Amubshers may set up anywhere within the village or on the hill to the north.

The Goat begins with Tante Tooh.  On the turn of the random event card the Sacred Goat will head for D6 inches in a random direction.  I use an arrow dice.  Capturing the goat for use as a regimental mascot for the 2nd Madras would earn Gloria his Lieutenancy.

The Hill to the north is rough going.
The Fort has only one gate, facing the road.  To win this game Gloria and the 2nd Madras must capture that fort.
