Randi and the Bhuna's Disgrace

Lt Grahame is a man of much book learning.  He can speak strange words, even for a Britisher Officer.  The Sepoys believe that he is quite mad, and we love him for it.

Marching towards the lands known as the Bhuna, he suddenly dismounted from his donkey, drew his sword and pointed at the road ahead shouting, "Follow your spirit, and upon this charge Cry 'God for Harry, England, and Saint George!"

The Subadar looked at our Havildar and both nodded in silent agreement, the British are quite mad.  But of course he was right.  Marching towards us was the Bhuna, with three companies of Militia, a swarm of cavalry, some skirmishers and a gun.

Lt Grahame and the Subhadar had four companies, and a skirmish platoon under Havildar Dilip.  We also had a gun, my cousin Jaymin with "Jamilla the Killer."

We formed line and marched forward.

My second game of Sharp Practice 2, and I learned a good deal.  Tante Tooh, commanding the cavalry came in at the charge against one end of the line, but were seen off in fine style by a volley and a good cannistering from "Jamilla."

My Sepoys used two figures to represent one man in each of the Companies.  They are based to roughly the same base size as the Militia but look more "regular."

The Skirmishers under the Little Bhuna closed in too far, lost half their number, and yet another Little Bhuna died.  I`m losing track of how many I`ve killed.

The main lines closed in but the Bhuna was isolated, facing a force that still had three Big Men.  In short order it was all over.

Grahame is now promoted to Captain, purchasing the commission with the ransom the Bhuna paid him.

Looks like the Bhuna will have to accept British suzerainty, or adopt the more risky strategy of fleeing to the Typhoo Sultan.  The Carnatic coast is heating up!

Truly it has been said,  "All the water in the sea doesn't even reach the knees of the man who fears not death "
It probably wasn`t said about the Randi Ram however!
